Tamara Matysiak-Budnik graduated from the Medical School in Wroclaw, Poland in 1986. She completed her post-graduate training in internal medicine and in gastroenterology at the University Hospital in Wroclaw. She had a research training in the Research Unit of Alcohol Disease at the University of Helsinki in Finland, and then in INSERM (French National Institute for Health and Medical Research) in Paris, France. She is currently Professor of Gastroenterology and Chief of the Digestive Oncology Unit at the Department of Gastroenterology in Nantes. Her main research interest is focused on Helicobacter pylori, celiac disease, digestive oncology and new endoscopic techniques.
