European Association for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy & Nutrition
Postgraduate Education in Gastroenterology
The European Association for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy & Nutrition (EAGEN) has a rich history of advancing gastroenterology through education and collaboration. Founded in 1970, EAGEN has been dedicated to providing high-quality, Continuing Medical Education (CME)-accredited postgraduate events designed to enhance professional development in the field of gastroenterology. As a key founding member of the United European Gastroenterology (UEG), EAGEN has been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape for gastrointestinal (GI) specialists across Europe.
EAGEN has built a strong reputation for organizing innovative, interactive, and interdisciplinary events that bring together leading experts from diverse disciplines within gastroenterology. Its comprehensive programs include the latest scientific updates, hands-on courses, webinars, and the highly regarded annual EAGEN Bridging Meeting in GI. The Bridging Meeting, in particular, has become a notable platform for young researchers, offering them opportunities to present their work, engage with peers, and contribute to the ongoing development of the gastroenterology field.
EAGEN’s non-profit structure ensures that it remains focused on its mission to serve the global GI community. With approx. 3,000 GI professionals participating in its events each year, EAGEN continues to make a significant impact in fostering collaboration, education, and innovation in gastroenterology.
